Are whale sharks dangerous?
No! - whale sharks are docile animals and are filter feeders.
Although whale sharks have many teeth (several thousand) they are small and harmless. Whale sharks feed by filtering small organisms from the water around them. This is why they swim near the surface with their mouths open.
