At Alton's Dive Center we believe we deliver the best fun dive service you can get in the Bay Islands!

We have thought about what you want as a certified diver, bringing you the benefit of our collective experience of working and diving in resorts, liveaboards, and a variety of dive centers around the world. Read on and find out how we help you get more from your fun diving.

• See more fish and less fins! Our small group size, with a maximum of 5 divers per divemaster ensures that you get to see what you want, that you do not feel hurried underwater, and you have time to see the marine life that interests you. Your fun dives shouldn't be spolit by too many people and we promise that won't happen at Alton's.
  


• Spend more time underwater. We split our diver groups by certification and experience levels which means that as someone with more experience you will not be placed in a group with new divers enabling you to get the most from your fun dives.


• Dive to the limit of your training and experience. You won't feel limited by other people with less training or less experience. If you have a deep diver specialty or you want to dive with nitrox, then no worries we will always put a divemaster or instructor on the boat specially for you so you can do what you want trained for! If you are an Open Water diver you will benefit from this by smaller groups - even if you found yourself on a boat with yourself and one Advanced diver then if you wish you will both get your own divemaster!


• Get more out of your fun diving and learn more about the reef with our weekly fish identification and behavior talks. These fun and informal evening sessions will show you how to successfully identify the many fish species we find around Utila as well as finding out which species commute to work every day, what do the Rolling Stones have in common with sand dwelling  fish, where can you see parrot fish attending a high school prom! And just as importantly find out how to protect our reef and minimize our impact on the reef both below the waves and topside.


• Be comfortable and safe with our wide range of well maintained, well kept and regularly replaced equipment. We have a wide range of equipment in many sizes ranging from extra small through to XXL, prescription masks, integrated weight BCDs, and men and womens wet suits.


• Comfortable easy access new custom built dive boats designed with the diver in mind. Easy to get in and out of the water, fully equipped with emergency oxygen, VHF radio and GPS.


• Enjoy full day trips to take in the best dive sites utila has to offer and sea mounts and banks that nobody else visits. Our custom built boats have been designed with full day trips in mind, making safety and comfort a priority.


• We will take you to the best of Utila's dive sites even if that means a little further for us to travel. In one fun dive trip you can visit the marine reserve in turtle harbor and then the cays on the west end of island for a late breakfast and then make a second dive!


• Full dive briefings and debriefings including creature identification to as much detail as you want!


• A very social and fun environment with a beautiful sundeck and shady hammock space, a small cafe/bar area which sells light breakfasts, lunches, coffee, cold drinks, and evening BBQs.

Whatever your interest is we will do our best to ensure you get to do the dives you want. If you are interested in the small things and the reef creatures we will give you the time to hunt around in the reef. If it is photography or videography and you need to move slower and spend more time in one area we can accommodate you, if you need a dive buddy for any fun diving activity we can provide one for you.
