9NAUI Assistant Instructor rating is a NAUI leadership certification. The AI program is designed to introduce diving instruction basics. It will test individuals in fundemantel water skills needed to be capable assistants and authorize you to assist active-status NAUI Instructors in conducting training sessions. A highly recommended step in thr progression towards NAUI Instructor.
Prerequisites for entering the Assistant Instructor course:
Certification as NAUI Master Scuba Diver and NAUI Rescue Diver (or equivalent).
Divers with evidence of equivalent training and experience may be enrolled after taking the NAUI Master Scuba Diver and Rescue Diver written exam and acheiving a pass rate of at least 75%
Candidates must have at least 20 logged dives with a variety of environment, depth and activities.
